Job Training


We are currently funded through a sub grant from the Department of Labor & Workforce Development in Juneau, Alaska to train Bus Drivers for Tribal Tours.

If you are found eligible for the training program, we would provide:

  1. Class C CDL training
  2. First Aid & CPR training
  3. CDL physical exams
  4. Uniforms for Tribal Tours job

You must be a 'Dislocated' Worker, a U.S. Citizen, a SE Alaska resident, and at least 18 years of age to be part of this program. You are a 'Dislocated' Worker if:

  1. Your job has been eliminated or you have been laid off for a period of time expected to be 6 months or more, and you are unlikely to return to a job in your previous industry or occupation within commuting distance of your residence
  2. Your job has been eliminated, or you have received a notice of layoff, due to Plant Closure or Substantial Layoff within a 30 day period
  3. Your employer has announced that the facility where you work will close within 180 days
  4. Your employer has made a general announcement that the facility where you work will close
  5. You are self-employed and unemployed due to Economic Conditions or Natural Disasters
  6. You are a displaced Homemaker who no longer receives the support of another family member, and you are unemployed or underemployed
